The Euro-dyne Crystal Radio Receiver's advanced selectivity, sensitivity, and circuitry are exactly the same as those of our Ether-o-dyne but, to reduce package size and thus trans-oceanic shipping costs, the Euro-dyne contains two units that can be shipped separately. The antenna, ground, and main-tuning components are in the larger unit. The absorption and impedance wave-trap systems are contained in the smaller unit.

Euro-dyne Crystal Radio Receiver or Kit

Like our Ether-o-dyne, the Euro-dyne Crystal Radio Receiver is built on a finished pattern-grade mahogany base and includes matched antique variable capacitors; matched antique dials; and matched antique switch points, sliders, and binding posts. This crystal radio receiver's coils are wound with the best quality dyed, double cotton-covered wire on genuine phenolic forms for a truly classic appearance. A separate cat's whisker and steel galena crystal unit comes with this set. As a final touch, this crystal radio comes with a pair of antique Baldwyn or Western Electric high-impedance headphones, the finest headphones ever made for crystal radio listening. For convenience, a mini-amplifier also is included.

Dimensions: For Unit 1, 8 x 16-inch finished hardwood base. Front panel height of 8 inches. For Unit 2, 8 x 8 x 8 inches.
Price: $445.

Kit available for $345. The kit comes with coils already wound and front panel assembled. You finish the wood and do the wiring. You will need a soldering gun, solder, sandpaper, and wood finish of your choice. You will need to read electronic schematic diagrams, solder, and make a simple wire antenna and ground arrangements. Building and operating instructions are included.
